This 2013 Mazda CX-5 is precisely that, and it’s getting more and more attention in the car show scene.
The CX-5 is not a commonly modified platform in general, and with the sky blue paint this one is standing out even more. In a car show scene where SUV’s are almost inexistent, it’s even more surprinsing to see one sitting on air suspension. All the proper work was done on the Mazda to make it sit as low as possible with the suspension completely empty. Often misregarded as a smaller CX-3 or even as an hatchback Mazda 3, many people can’t believe what they’re looking at when it’s slammed at its lowest position.
On the outside, subtle carbon fiber accents are used to complement the stock dark gray moldings and they inspired the wheel color selection. A set of RTX Envy in 20x8.5 with the matte gunmetal finish was installed to complete the project.
